This Baked Okra recipe is a delectable dish that is easy to whip up and makes for a yummy snack or side dish!

On busy days it is great to have an easy side dish to throw together with meals. Other great ones like this baked okra you have to try would be my Green Beans Almondine, Honey Glazed Carrots, and Oven Roasted Broccoli.

A versatile Vegetable

Okra is one of those vegetables that can be prepared in so many different ways. You can eat it fresh right off the vine. Another popular method is to boil it, although personally, it is not my favorite. Then there is fried okra. If you have ever been to any country style, or southern cooking restaurant, you know that fried okra will be on the menu. I love me some okra but there are times where I don’t want it fried (or boiled) which is what my inspiration was for this recipe!

This baked okra is fresh and can be whipped up in a snap. Plus it makes for a great afternoon snack or a side dish. These okra are coated in a simple but flavorful seasoning and baked to where they have that good crunch but are also soft at the same time.

How to make Baked Okra

Assemble your ingredients. For exact amounts see the recipe card below.

Ingredients for baked okra

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rinse your okra and dry with paper towels.

Next, cut off the stem ends and cut the okra into ¾ inch pieces.

Storage and Reheating

You can STORE this baked okra in an airtight container in your fridge for 3-5 days.

To REHEAT this dish you can do so in a pan in your oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes, or until everything has warmed through. You can also warm this up in the microwave for 30-45 seconds.
