A 3-ingredient sweet and tangy glaze that caramelizes as it bakes. This fool-proof blackberry dijon ham has been a family favorite for over 10 years!
Confession time: photographing ham is not easy. These pictures don’t quite do this ham justice, but sometimes you just have to roll with what you’ve got! We’ve been making this recipe for over 10 years and I finally snapped a few quick photos before we served it. The glaze is so simple: blackberry preserves, dijon mustard and apple juice. But man is it tasty! Sweet, tangy and caramelizes as it bakes.
You can make the glaze by whisking everything together in a small mixing bowl, however, that tends to leave little chunks of preserves floating around, and it’s not always the “prettiest” to look at once the ham is glazed. I find using a mini food processor for about 30 seconds makes it nice and smooth.
